America Just Doesn’t Get It
It doesn’t matter if Joe “The Plumber” Wurzelbacher is not registered to vote (as has been reported). It doesn’t matter if he is registered, but his name is spelled wrong (as has been reported). It doesn’t matter if Joe doesn’t make $250,000 a year (as has been reported). And there was no reason for Joe “The Plumber” to appear on CBS, as well as elsewhere today.
It’s not about Joe “The Plumber” Wurzelbacher. Joe is just John McCain’s version of Joe Six-Pack, or the Average American. He was used as a representative example. The actual details really do not matter. What matters is what the candidates say; their responses to the Average American, or people in Joe’s alleged position.
I do not make $250,000 a year. I am not endorsing Barack Obama. I am not endorsing John McCain. I try to keep any political commentay as non-partisan as I can. But one thing seemed obvious to me.
John McCain is just pissed off because he’s been in that top 5% for too long.
